Workshops January to March 2018

JLR - January 19, 2018 - 0 comments

Are you ready to get intimate with some bacteria? Seriously it is great fun. Cultured and fermented foods have been around for thousands of years. It is only now that people are beginning to understand the importance that a healthy gut has on our entire existence. Hence the resurgence of these frothing and bubbling little critters.

The gut is termed as the second brain and the brain/gut axis is pivotal to our well-being. Physical, mental and emotional.

Cultured and fermented foods, if correctly made, are teeming with beneficial bacteria, pre and pro-biotics. They should form an integral part of your eating plan.

Join me for a workshop where I will take you through the steps of learning how to make these foods and drinks. I will show you that they are in fact delicious and incredibly versatile. Imagine a passion fruit and blueberry jun or water kefir. Or kefir pancakes with honey fermented berries. Yum yum, simply divine! AND, fancy a face mask with kefir, honey and oates? Yes, indeed, it is true, cultures make the best face and hair products.

Numbers are limited. Once you have indicated interest in a workshop, you will receive bank details and your attendance will be confirmed upon receipt of payment. You will then be sent all the information about what to bring along.

You will get detailed notes and wherever possible various cultures and starters. Keep in mind that these are living creatures and hence can be a tad temperamental, so if I have them, I will share them.

Remember, that you can also host your very own private workshop for you and your mates.

Want to learn how to do only one or two ferments? No problem, I can do an express workshop for you.

A big thanks to all the organisers and hosts for the beautiful venues that you have made available.
